    Hi all

I am looking to buy a Diplomat double electric oven from MFI (ADP4862)
Which is on special at the moment
I am worried as its “made up brand”
From looking at the forums it may be either a stoves or a smeg. At MFI the salesman said they are made by Stoves (but then he would!!)

Can anyone confirm the “real” manufacture and advise of its likley quality

    Thanks

This one is made by MFI themselves, they do make some (or have them comissioned) but it’s not a Stoves or a Smeg.

Re: Should I Buy A Diplomat Oven

    Thanks for a quick reply
The question now is is it OK to buy. IE is the quality OK and is it likly to be reliable or should I buy a better brand ?
If you feel i should buy a better brand any recomendations ?
I require a double electric eye level oven with Main oven having a fan and a timer, small oven a grill and oven. No fancy stuff required. Cheap as possible in the “quality range” !!!
(my current (broken)oven is a Neff which has had no end of problems costing in repairs nearly as much as the oven cost new! 🙁 so Neff is off my list)

    Any advice appreciated

    Thanks

I would say they are mid-range so not too bad but not the greatest either.

Neff (Bosch) are generally pretty good to be honest, you may have been a little unlucky with yours.

Stoves are also OK, CDA also do a good range of built in:
