    hi, after posting a previous enquiry, i was impressed with the speed of the response, so now i have been asked by a friend
    about another problem with the above model washer!

    when she does a wash the softner does not work, as in that the water does not seem to flow thru the softning compartment at the top of the washer….. resulting in clothes and towells coming out like sandpaper!!!!.
    any ideas what could be the reason?

    The tray probably just needs a good clean out as the syphon for the additive will easily block especially if it is overdosed.

    Remove soap drawer, look for the four small holes above the conditioner compartment.

    More than likely you will notice the holes are blocked with black gunk!

    Find a small cable tie and poke it into the four holes giving it a good wiggle 😳 . Then turn to a rinse program and flush through, may need to do this a few times.

    Most common problem already covered but if your friend has low cold water pressure this will also cause the softner compartment not to fill due to the way that it operates this feed.
