    Hi,

    I’m looking for some advice please. I had an AWM8145 washing machine from Whirlpool which, within warranty, has needed 6 engineers out, 3 new motors, a new tub half, new userboard and timer etc etc. It’s now got to the point where they are going to swap it for another one now.

    I have been told that they don’t make that model anymore, and offered an AWO3761 as a replacement. I’m not familiar with the Whirlpool models, so, having been stung the first time around, my questions are:

    – Are they comparible in both value and performance?
    – Do you know of any manuf. faults with the AWO3761?
    – Are there any similar, but better models from Whirlpool, in the same sort of price range that I should ask for?

    I would have thought you would steer clear of Whirlpool after that tale of woe?

    The mid-price range BOSCH I would 😉

    I would steer clear, but they are replacing it for me – so I can’t really ask them to replace it with a BOSCH. I’d love to – but don’t think I’d get away with it. 🙂

    Any ideas, seems as I’m stuck with a Whirlpool replacement?

    You are, let’s hope you get better luck with your new replacement then? Whatever model you get, they are pretty similar anyway 🙄
