    Hi everyone,

I’ve got a problem with my neff circotherm. Yesterday the fuse tripped and when I turned it back on, I found out that the fan would not heat the oven above 100 degrees centigrade. The pilot light is on, the fan is working properly, but 100 degrees is the max it can do. Does this sound like a heating element damage? Off the top of your head how much would it cost to get it repaired?
The serial number of the oven is B1432N1GB/07 and the FD8206

Unlikely to be element failure – they work or they don’t. So, control circuit fault – 2 components, thermostat and safety cut-out. Either can be faulty – time for an engineer? Check the link below for a UKW engineer.

    Power off if investigating.

    Hi thanks for the reply!

I should add that the top and bottom elements and the grill all work fine. Would that rule the thermostat out of the picture?

It certainly would if the thermostat operated normally using the conventional heat setting yes 🙂

If you set it just on ‘Fan Heat’ only (not Turbo fan by the way) does the fan element get warm at all?…I suspect not 😉

Hmm..not quite sure what you are refering to..There are three settings where the fan is involved, defrost, fan heat and fan with grill. The other settings are top/bottom heat, top only, bottom only and grill.

That setting is known as “Turbo Grill”

If it works OK on that setting then the THERMOSTAT is working OK 🙂

Now try it just on “Fan Heat”……..does it get warm after a moment or two I wonder (It should do if the element is OK)

It seems unable to go above 100 centigrade on Fan heat 🙁

The fan element is behind the rear panel, what Martin is trying to find out is if there is ANY heat coming from the element.

Leave the door open and turn to fan heat only mode and check for heat at the back of the oven.

No heat at all now!…must have been residual heat..so, heating element?
