I am having the usual Ariston Margherita 2000 problem with the machine stopping mid-cycle and the dial just clicking around. The model is AL128DS and the light flashes 8 times for the error code.

Can anyone suggest what this error means and also where I can get a listing of each error code and their description. Thanks.

Nowhere sorry, they’re for engineers init? 😉

8 flashes is a relay problem, but usually means a new PCB 🙁

Ariston have a 5 year parts guarantee if you want to pay £90 call out 😯 but I’d try Repairs@ for a local engineer.

If your gonna investigate further, power off first please!

The error code refers to a ‘Heating’ fault. Usually 3 causes for this are Heater, Thermal Sensor or faulty main Module board. Very often it proves to be a combination of all three 🙁

Thinking about it, if I had an Ariston, I’d do this to it…
