Went to a LG WD1253FHB washing machine yesterday with a “DE” fault code. Door interlock so I thought. Changed it, but the fault still persists. Am I looking at a module here? If so, I take it would most likely be the big power module down at the bottom. Tried to remove it to check for blown tracks, but it appears to be encased in some kind of clear resin. Am I barking up the right tree here? If so, can anybody give me the part no, price etc of a module.

    Regards,

    Dave

hi dave, have you checked the door assembly?
the latch pin can come adrift at one side so you don’t get a good contact between the latch/catch and the interlock.
if that’s ok and you’ve changed the interlock, then it will be the module.
    cheers.

    Thanks for the reply alf,
I haven’t specifically checked the door latch, but all appears well and it does latch properly. I tried bypassing the interlock as well, but it was just the same. Ah well…….
