42TH9/J5 is the diamond h replacement, number for number lead swap 🙂

The only problem is the space between the main oven stat and grill simmerstat is a bit tight but it does go.

Is this the Creda topline with a eye level small oven? I have tried that stat and it doesnt fit.

yes it is unit with high levelgrill

when it does not fit ,do you mean in the face plate or the space between the other regulators!!

seems a same to scap a very good appliance

    Re: CREDA 49802 Cooker

between the others, it sits at 90 degree so the tags and wires are hard up against the regualtors/ stat either side.
Shame no one made a pattern of this a few years ago as a lot perfectly sound cookers have been scrapped just for this.

Just an update on this repair

Stat 42th9/J5 that Dave quoted will fit but is is a tight fit, you have to
bend teminals on stat slightly and also tags to ensure they are insulated
from ajoining alarm motor and top ovenstat.

another classic cooker saved from the tip

    my client is very happy
