Can anybody please offer advice with a problem on my Zanussi DE6855 dishwasher. Although it is a little over 12 months old (yes just out of warranty) it isn’t heating the water. I have changed the heater element and the thermostat but this hasn’t resolved the problem. I have also checked and there is a live feed to the element but it still doesn’t want to work. Any idea’s please other than buy a new one.

    Many thanks

these machines suffer from a bad solder joint on the pcb (heater relay) and can be repaired by re-soldering the bad joint

For future readers, please don’t live test, always have the power OFF when carrying out any testing or repairs :zap:

Many thanks to both Your_Uck and Dave for the advice. I’ll have a look at the pcb and make sure the power is off.

    Thanks again

    Re: Zanussi Help

I just wanted to pass on my appreciation to Your_Uck. I checked the pcb and just as suggested the joint on the heater relay had blown. A quick re-soldering and the machine is once again working.

    Many many thanks.
