    Hi there,

I have a Indesit Cucina gas cooker that we inherited along with the house a year and a half ago (K341 G(W)/G Serial number 306132146 with a bar code on it 25275380011. We never had an instruction manual for it, and it worked fine apart from needing to keep the gas knob depressed for about 20 secs with the gas lit in order for the gas to stay on (when starting up). Last night, just about to cook chicken and crumble when I discovered that the gas was not going to stay on at all. The gas appears to be flowing in OK when the knob is depressed, but goes out as soon as you let go! Any ideas what might be the cause, and whether it can be fixed easily?

    Thanks,

    Dalibor

Sounds like a faulty thermocouple, should not be a major expense but will need attention from a Corgi registered engineer. Don’t attempt to repair yourself.
