    It has definatley burnt out.
    Looks like the loop of the element has been squashed and touched against itself.

    The clue was sparks flying arround the then it not heating up anymore.
    When I removed the fan cover, a section of the element has totally carbonised. It looked to be covered in arc welding slag, and crumbled when pressure was applied to it.

    Any idea what part number would be needed for this oven.
    I think it is the 1800watt element, not the more powerful one.

    262900006 is the genuine part number, it’s a 2100W element now.

    You can use the Teba one though as it’s exactly the same virtually at half the price:

    Thanks Dave. Will look that up.

    And the Teba one will fit in exactley the same place etc without any problems?

    I’ve fitted them quite a few times 😉

    All the main spares distributors show both as alternatives for each other 🙂
