Went to a call in Whitworth last week, it is at the very extreme of the area I do to the north ( getting to close to Goatboy territory for comfort) 😀

I arrived at 7.30am and after changing the brushes on a Bosch machine discovered that the motor had blown. I left at 8.05am and it took me almost an hour to travel 8 miles to my next call back towards Oldham due to the traffic.

I had to return this morning to fit a new motor so decided to go a little earlier. I set my radio alarm for just before 6.30am and when it went off I jumped out of bed, quick wash & brush up, drink and I was on my way. Called at the paper shop to pick up my usual Daily Telegraph and was a little surprised to find that it was closed, no worry I’ll pick it up my may way home. I drive on for about a mile and then glance at the clock on the dashboard. it says 4.42 am. 😯 :eeek: :clown: . I must have accidentally advanced the radio alarm by two hours when I set it the night before. What a Wally 😆

I wish, I you read the post about the saga of moving my daughter down to Manchester the other weekend then tonight is problem #2. She phoned late last night to say trhat she could not start her car, she could not even disarm the alarm. One of the main benefits of her moving into town was to be 10 minutes walk from her office. The last time she drove the car was last Wednesday evening when she came to the squash club in Rochdale and duly wiped the floor with me. She thinks that she may have left the interior light on, so it appears it has flattened the battery. So later tonight I am going down armed with the jump leads, daughters eh, 😉
