I’m trying to replace a Hoover Optima fridge/freezer door handle and can only find a universal one on the net which has the screws spaced at 150mm. Typically my screws are spaced just outside that at 155mm. Is there such a thing as a “large” universal handle, and if so where might I find one?
    Thanks so much 😉

I don’t think there is one but the original handle may be easy enough to obtain.

It isn’t this one by any chance(check the model number 🙂 ):

Hmmm, does look like it Dave, thank you for hunting that down, although in the picture one end looks a bit more pointed and elliptical than the original.
The model number scribbled on my original instruction manual alongside the serial number just says HF40D – which I guess is incomplete looking at the other HF40D numbers on that list, because they all have another couple of numbers after.
Can I find something more specific on the back of the appliance if I pull it out (which is going to be a major operation 🙄 ) Or is the fact that mine is HF40D enough to say that this will fit?

edited to say – I’ve just had another look at the pic and I think the elongated bit is just the angle of the pic. I reckon its the right one but will wait to hear…

It is the right one 😀

There are only two versions of HF40D and it fits both.
