Whirlpool Washer/Dryer Questions

Hello..!

I am an American living in the Czech Republic. At the moment I have Whirlpool top load dryer (Euro styled, not American) and an American styled air vented dryer.

I can’t live without a proper dryer.. cuz.. I can’t iron worth crap. (You can see why I am not married.. 😆 )

Anyway.

I used to have use of a washer/dryer combo, I forget the make, but it wasnt Whirlpool. Was some Italian name…. But anyway, it was total crap!! Clothes came out hot and wet at the end, and it took HOURS just to get them non-soaking.. and they smelled moldy.

That was my first (and last!!!) experience with a washer/dryer.

But now I am getting ready to move and its difficult to find somewhere that has proper bathroom venting for the air tube thingy (thats technical speak for that big white hose thingamajig that comes out of the dryer and would normally be run outside your house) so Im considering just buying a combo..

IF I CAN FIND ONE THAT DRIES!

Surely they cant all be as bad as the one I used before.. I cant imagine why people woudl buy them. And I would rather not have to spend 3 hours waiting for a load to dry. My dryer now takes about 40 min for a regular sized load…

I would like Whirlpool, cause Im familiar with it. But if you all know of another GOOD brand, please recommend.. I just want it to be good quality.

Another thing – I have seen those stacked washer/dryer combos here.. they say they are gas dryers..

Do I need a hose-to-air vent for one of those? If not, it would be ideal, I think..
