Direct contact with Hotpoint may be your only option if you don’t get a reply soon. The only cooker manuals I have are several years old. I have deleted your duplicate post from three days ago, if you want to ‘bump’ a post please use the original one, it helps to keep things tidy. 😉

will do, but how do you ‘bump’ a post?February 6, 2006 at 5:03 pm #163509iadom

You’ve just done it. 🙂
Every time a new post is added to a thread it goes back to the top of the list, below the ‘sticky’ threads. You may get lucky but cooker wiring diagrams will be thin on the ground. 😥

Ok Thanks again iadom
Contacted Creda/Hotpoint they said their engineers are the only ones allowed the drawings for health and saftey reasons, coming up with blanks all round so far, anywhere else I can try?

The only other thing I can suggest is to ask your spares supplier to order a manual for an SD98, they usually charge a silly price for a few pages, sometimes photcopied, but if it gets you out of trouble. You could always hijack a Hotperloni engineer and hope that he is in a good mood and does cooker repairs. 😉

The oven was bought cheap by my customer, he was told it was a demonstration model, the shop closed down and he installed the oven several months later to find that it didn’t work.
I found that the elements had been disconnected the cables were not marked hence the need of the wiring diagram
