ParticipantHi hopefully someone can help me, my dishwasher has stopped washing properly. The tablet clearner thing remains untouched and cups and plates are still filthy after the cycle has finiashed.
From what I’ve read on here it’s actually a Whirlpool machine….
I’ve spoken to a few repairman in my area and they’ve all said it’s probably the pump. They’ve also told me that it’ll probably be cheaper to replace the machine.
Can anyone verify that it’s probably the pump?? If so, where would be the best place to go a replacement??
Many thanks.
Aaron
Would this be the item in question??

Ooh! The big Askoll pump – they don’t use that anymore. Stick up the 12 nc number on the label on the side of the door and we should be able to track it down as a Whirlpol part (cheaper).

So do we think that it is the pump at fault then??
Many thanks

More than likely Aaron but we can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure 😉

I ordered the pump with the part no posted above, but it’s completley different. Was it the wrong part number??
Cheers

Nope, the new pump will be a “real” motor not the magnetic type as the original but it fits in exactly the same way.
There’s a small bag in the box with a couple of screws to secure the bracket on the new pump to the rear of the cabinet 🙂

There wasn’t a bag with screws in it mate, but I can find a few screws, that’s not a problem.
The pumps inlet and oulet are in different places and different sizes, so it’s not going to directly fit. Also the plug connections are different, so they’re not going to fit either.
Any ideas??

Eek :eeek:
I’ve just found your order, you ordered a Diplomat washing machine drain pump from the online shop, not the dishwasher circulation motor above (which isn’t in the shop).
That may be partly my fault now I’ve read the email again from earlier, I bet you thought you were getting a bargain eh ? 😆
I’ll email further info shortly to get it sorted.
Dave.
