    Just partially dimantled Hotpoint 6556 for through cleaning. Top oven does not work, no gas or spark. Grill works OK and main oven which is on the timer. Have I accidentally done something. Had trouble setting the clock but did eventually – may be connected with this fault. hathi

    You may have damaged the ‘Electrode’ whilst cleaning or simply not set the clock to ‘Manual’ maybe?
