Built in fridge, Wpool ARG 420/r Service.853442015300..

I have had two of these this week with identical problems.

Both are to warm, approx 10 degrees, at whatever setting the stats are set at.
Stats a cylcling on and off, after running two to three minuets, so I am reluctant to change them, I have very rarely found a stat to have gone out of calibration.
There is an overall frosting of the back of the fridge (upper half of panel)
There is no problem from an external heat source, doors are closing correctly
I was wondering if anyone could throw a bit of light onto the problem.

    hi

whirlpools have a common problem with the evaperator coming away from the liner after approx 3yrs.

if you have them switched off for 24hrs before arriving then you find a sponginess on the rear liner when pressed then that is what it will most likely be,then the appliance is BER.

    Thanks Bryan
The back panel seems “sound”, no bubling etc, I would have expected to have found a “cold spot” if the insulation/ gas system had broken down, but all seems fine, thats what is so puzzling.

My theory is that if the evap. has come adrift from the liner, this would probably mean that and the stat. phial is not in direct contact, giving a false reading.
