need help or advice with my washing machine as the filter needs clearing at least once amonth which is’nt easy and now wont go past the first cycle.

Are you talking about the drain sump filter that leads to the pump ? If you need to clean this out once a month then you are washing something out of the ordinary to cause this. Do you wash something on a regular basis that is unusual. Lots of new towels or woollen bedding, sheepskin rugs, candlewick bathmats, or similar.

Very strange, I have a Hotpoint WMA 62 which although not a washer dryer has the exact same sump/pump/filter and in over three years it has never been touched. It can only be coming from the materials that you are putting in the machine, I cleared three filters last week alone, but in every case they had washed something that was either breaking up or very new that should not have been washed in the first place, one a set of new, bright red cushion covers that completely disintegrated in the wash.
