ParticipantI have a Zanussi fridge freezer (model number not at hand), with the freezer on the bottom, the whole thing is about 175cm tall, it’s probably about 3 years old (I’ve moved into a flat and it came already installed) and it’s in good condition.
The problem is that the fridge isn’t cooling very well. The freezer is working fine but on all the settings (1-6) the temperature in the fridge only gets down to between 9 and 10 degrees celsius.
I have given it a good clean, there is no frost build up that I can see and the coils on the back are dust free. The seal/gasket is also good. However on all the settings on the fridge, condensation builds up at the top on the back wall and freezes in droplets. Occassionally these droplets unfreeze but then they soon freeze again.
Any ideas anyone? Also can anyone suggest a good/reliable/not extortionate fridge repair company? I live in Sheffield if by chance anyone who reads this knows a good local service.

As I said it’s a Zanussi and:
Model number: ZI 918/12K
Type: B256946I’ve already called DAR, but they wont do it. I’ve also called a few other repair places and they said they’d have a look but wouldn’t if it was a frost-free fridge. Not sure if mine is – the instruction booklet didn’t come with the flat. However I can’t see the words “frost-free” written anywhere.
Would anyone be able to supply a link to a website explaining how fridges work? I’ve read a few but not found the answer as to how cold air gets into the fridge compartment – there are no holes/vents!!!! (apart from the one that runs water out the back). It’s otherwise perfectly sealed. Fridge novice here with no previous fridge knowledge until the problem was discovered 🙄 .
Cheers,
