ParticipantMy AEG oko-lavamat 72620 update is stalling during all its cycles with error C2 (can’t empty I think). I’ve drained the machine and the filter is clean. The pump turns OK by hand and I can see it spin if I start a pump cycle with the filter removed but I can’t get the machine to empty even though the pump appears to be working.
I have checked the exterior plumbing which although mucky seems clear so I am wondering if there could be a blockage in the outlet pipes in the machine? Can anyone advise me if that is possible and give any advice for clearing this?
Thanks!

We can’t give you a ‘blow-by-blow’ describtion of how to strip down and check your machine. That’s dangerous and highly frowned upon 🙁
If your sure that the pump is working, then it probably is a blockage! It might even be blocked before the pump!
Hope this helps 😕 Otherwise call an engineer.
And if your looking yourself, unplug the machine first!

Hey- that’s fast! Thanks.
>We can’t give you a ‘blow-by-blow’ describtion
OK, fair enough. I’ll just get stuck in anyway! Can you say if there are any special things to watch for? Mistakes that idiots frequently make? (That’s me…)

Last resort!

Most definitely!
Thanks

Just mainly the fact that water + electricity don’t mix! :zap:

It’s a rubber pipe, pretty thick rubber, but it still can be punchered 😕
But, this is completely the wrong way to fix that problem, and I’d still recommend that you call an engineer.
😀 Repairs@ 😀
You’ve got a good machine there, so I think you should let a professional fix that problem and service/check the rest of the machine at the same time.

That’s good advice but luckily I didn’t see it until I’d got my toolbox and dragged the machine out – at which point the reason became obvious!
This machine hasn’t been moved this century but the drain pipe was collapsed half way along! This is a plastic pipe with a spiral metal wire to strengthen it, it looks as though someone had bent it double and then straightened it leaving it flat at the point of bending.
How on earth can that happen in a tightly constricted space with no room for the pipe to move and without the machine being moved? Is there a good advice site for goblin infestation problems?
Anyway, £6.95 for a new one and all is hunky dory!
Thanks everyone.
