Yesterday had occasion to watch this machine through the first part of programme no 4 (40* cottons). (Was running a bit early for next job and not keen to go out in rain).
Noticed that every 10th or so reverse tumble was about triple speed and lasted about 30 seconds. Is this normal ❓
The machine has an open circuit dryer element and the customer also made vague noises about it not washing properly. (Although she was not its regular user, being on hols).
    TIA.
    Mike.

I’ve noticed this but never had it reported as a fault, never watched enough to say for sure if they all do it though

Had a wd12 and a w123 in workshop recently on test. Both did this at exactly the same time so I presume its in the programme. The faults were unrelated (insofar as they were both Indesits).

Fast wash action is quite normal and common on most newer machines, my WMA63 does it at regular intervals during a wash, I even think some of the old Hoover New Wave/Softwave did this as well. The first time I saw it I thought I had a problem as well. 😳

    Thanks for the replies gentlemen.
That’s one less thing to worry about.
Watching and waiting for things to get to the fault point is the most time consuming and boring part of this job.
