never seen one of these, (model 6240w) its an intergrated version of the faithfull plastic tub Hotpoint washer drier but all the sides are plain steel, the valves are relocated and remarkably has a 4 post suspension. (someone actualy designed this as a built in special and put some thought into it… for once) anyway I am lumbered with changing the outer tub but the part number is the same as the 2 post version so I am a bit confused, just wondered if anyone has any experience on this.
    Thanks
    Mark.

I’ve been racking my mind. I saw one of these 2 years ago, i don’t think it was that exact model but it definitely had four suspension legs and the valves were at bottom of the machine. I thought it was the bw51 but on electrue that has the same tub as the wd range. On my one it was a heater change which was the normal wd/wm element. i’ll keep thinking.

    hi
have seen a couple of these and from memory they are exactly the same as a normal hotpoint w/d but jazzed up to be integrated, they achieved four leg suspension by bolting a lump of angle iron to the normal susp mounting point and then fitting two legs to this each side.

hope that of use to you

I have three or four of these on my patch, some Hotpoint and some Creda, one word of warning, if and when you do repair this machine be very careful with the hoses, when pushing back into position, the fill/drain hoses can become trapped and damaged very easily due to their position, low on the machine.

spot on there John, just for those of you who have never seen one of these here is a couple of pics:

Note the position of the valves and the sides that just flop down out of the way.

The ‘angle iron’ the great thing about this is only having to undo one bolt each side rather than flaff about with suspension rods etc.
