There is no fix, the DVD will expire and the website will have to be used.
Connect flatly refused to reinstate mine as I don’t use it to order from, it times out if you only use it as a reference and use the website as your ordering facilty.
Arrogance as per……. 👿

Thats strange Dave, I have been using the DVD to do most of my orders but they were still reluctant to replace the DVD!

Dave I have just found a small 24kb file in my connections folder which when clicked opens connections with out the expire message I think this must be the down load which cures the problem. Do you want me to mail you a copy?

Thanks for the offer but I’ve actually uninstalled it now, which gained me large part of one of my hard drives 😉
Orders are now placed with other companies wherever possible, so for their arrogant attitude of “you MUST use the web site” they are the only losers 😆

If you don’t like using their website, i advise you not to try using Parts Centers 🙂

Had no trouble with Connection myself. Been dealing with them for over a year now since Parts Centre went tits up with their carefree reps, silly prices, and damaged parts on arrival due to poor packing. If Connect are getting complacent lets hope Parts Centre get their act together soon as this can only be a good thing for us service guys who are losing work due to the high price of parts and the low price of the finished product.

Following on from my first post on this subject I now find that due to inactivity on the DVD system I would have to re register with connect to carry on using it. It looks like Connect want to force all of us to use the web based system and save them money,I do so wish there was a viable alternative for But for the moment I am stuck with Connect as they are the only suppliers who can afford to hold the stock. I try to use other suppliers when ever possible But as a case in point, Tonight I checked availability of a simple Hoover door hinge 91700103 with Masterpart,Came up as a special order and as I have found over the years that my customers will not accept a 10 day wait for their W/M to be repaired.
You cant win can you

Strange, I have just copied & pasted, 91700103 into the Masterpart web site and it came up as in stock and also on special offer for quantities. ❓

This is very strange. Do a search for a Hoover WDM 120 on Masterpart search for hinge, comes up as 91700103 special order. Another disadvantage of Connect not giving out part numbers. Used to be able to cross referance, but now only get the bar code. Wonder Why?Goose

The part comes up ‘special order’ for me too on Masterpart 😕

Still works for me if I enter the part number via ‘Basket’ I am told it is in stock. If I try to use the search facility by model ( I rarely do , I find it very messy ) I get to the model number, enter door hinge or part number and get ‘No items’ 😥
