My Zanussi washer/drier has got what I believe is a screw stuck in between the inner and outer drum. Every now and then it catches on something – a heater element maybe and jams the inner drum solid. I’ve tried coaxing it out by tipping the machine on its front end but to no avail. How tricky is it to remove the outer casing to gain access? I note that the springs and dampers are joined through both the front and back plastic cases which could prove tricky. Once the back case is off what can I expect to find underneath?
Any help greatfully appreciated.

You would be better to remove the hose that feeds the pump/filter to be honest.
Put a torch inside the drum and see if you can see where it is then with a fine screwdriver position it over the top of the hose outlet.
Power off at all times please when attempting :zap:
