Has anyone come across the evaporator seperating from the rear panel on this model. I know there is a problem with Whirpool fridges doing this.
The fault is that the fridge will not get down below 10 degrees, the stat has been changed, the compressor cycles on and off. The freezer box has a build up of ice and a temperture of about -23.

Appliance may have a gas leak, that is why the rear wall has blistered away from the evap. system could now be short of gas, thats why it will not cool lower than 10deg. Appliance is prob a write off.

Thanks Beever and welcome to the site
The problem has been sorted. I eventualy found the the plastic strip on the rear of three glass shelves had come adrift and had closed the gap between the shelf and the back panel, this stopped the cold air from circulating. Similar problem if items in the fridge are pushed back onto the back panel. 🙂
