    I am a total novice. My fridge is showing a temp of 15C and freezer -36C (though I don’t think it is really that cold). Is there anything I can do to repair or do I have to call out an engineer?

    Hi
    A model would be a good starting point. Take L/H salad drawer out and look on the sidewall for the enr and FD numbers please.

    we still have a problem with our fridge/freezer. On someone’s advice I switched off and emptied the freezer and placed a fan heater inside to totally defrost everything inside. End result is that freezer still showing -36C and fridge +4C. Except I don’ think that the fridge is at 4C. It seems very warm particularly at the top.
    Please can someone help. With 3 tiny kids, life is becoming hard.

    I think you need an engineer personally as there are numerous tests that can be undertaken to determine what is actually faulty. I am not at liberty top divulge this info for numerous reasons, sorry. Try link on my sig for nearest engineer.
