New type plastic tub with a large hole in the front half that flooded floor. Is the job worth doing? Customer says she will pay up to £100 for the job, personally I dont think a brand new Servis is worth that but times are hard etc….
I’ve not had one of these before and need to know part no. and price.
The list price for drum from Servis (gbdar) is £25.00 or £21.25 trade. Theres a new type door gasket 404002600 list £22.98 or trade £19.53 thats should be fitted if ever you change the from half of the tub, it stops any coins going into the drum causing it to burst. Hope this helps abit.
Complete tub removal to do this repair, i would say it’s to much work for £100. (Considering cost of spares required.) These new servis are more tricky than a wma as front panel dosen’t come off.
Thanks boys for the advice, the customer decided on a new m/c.The hole was too large for epoxy (3 finger dilation).Had an even bigger one yesterday on an Indesit could get your fist in it. Oh for the old days when we used to braize pennies onto the steel tanks.
