ParticipantJust fitted a new control board to a WMA 35(First & last time) after blown track on the motor connectors. Went through the configuration as per the instructions but seem to have hit a problem.
On Washes: Won’t fill just pumps
On Spins: Will do about 8-10 revs then stops for 30 Secs
If I didn’t do the config properly the first time have I muffed the PCB
or is there a way I can clear it and start again. To make maters worse its for a neighbour who happens to be the one who signs the cheques for one of my biggest clientsPS Have taken advise from previous threads and changed the motor loom
Not having a good day 🙁

Goose, you know the 2 seperate wires on the board with spade terminals, have you got them back the correct way round? Did a wma tub the other day and I didnt 😳 and had similar sympthoms. My excuse, it was a very poorly lit outhouse on a freezing late afternoon.

Have you checked the motor ❓ . Tracks on the PCB don`t blow for no reason.

goose check carefully connections to the bottom of the board you might have the pump lead in the wrong position. I had a similar fault after a customer had fitted a board. took a while to sus it out but the blocks will fit wrong

and your excuse for this unproffessional practice? 😆
I, like you assumed they were only relay contact wires and were un important. There was a panasonic microwave that used to catch me out too in the same way.

Guess what job I have just been back too
She did one wash and then the brushes failed 😳
Could worn brushes have damaged the pcb rather than the loom?Last time I do a job for a neighbour

Had two wma machines this week, both boards blown, both caused by worn carbons. Checked with my mate who is a Hotpoint engineer, he said the tracks blow with the higher current

It’s usually the Bosch motor the one with the white plastic covers over the brush gear, i,ve changed dozens due to that motor, the FHP motor very rarley causes it i’ll never change brushes on the bosch motor but i change
them most times on the others.March 10, 2006 at 8:48 am #167872goosegreen

It looks like I was very luckey that the new board did’nt blow again as this was the Bosch motor.
