    Hi Guys and Gals 🙂
I came across an interesting fault other day, may be of some help to you some day.
The above Hotpoint was reported to be leaking (flooding). After 30 mins of doing every check possible it would not leak. 😕 My final check was to put the machine onto a rinse and spin prog. First part of the fill was ok, motor started, then started to stop and start erratically and the pressure switch was doing the same. Then there was a gurgling sound from the dispenser and water start to come out of the drawer. A blockage then came to mind. 💡 The next thing was to remove the front of the machine and remove, the drawer to drum hose. Bingo, a kids sock was stuck in the hole in the front plate.
This was trapped between the drum front plate and the inner drum and was “rolling” around when the drum rotated, intermittantly blocking the hole and creating a back pressure as the machine filled. This made the pressure switch “erratic” and water to leak from the drawer. Final check to see if there was any more socks stuck between the drums , (remove one of the paddles)
This fault was on the markIII drum (vogue4) but may well happen on earlier models.

Hope this will be of some help when you get this intermittent leak(flood)

    Mal
