The light on the far right is continuously flashing. There doesn’t appear to be any pauses.
When I shut the door to start the wash programme the machine beeps continuously and setting seems to return to rinse programme.
Is it possible to reset the machine?

This is a Whirlpool machine – the reset procedure is very simple. Simply hold the “Start” button down for about 5 seconds – programme will abort, drain pump will run for one minute and then programme can be reset.
From what you have described, you have a thermistor (or NTC) failure. This is an awkward little problem to solve, but relatively inexpensive. Pro help is the best option – click the link below.
Power off if investigating further.
