I have an Indesit WN 1263 WG washing machine which is nearly 10 years old. It’s been very reliable (two person household), except for a couple of repairs in the first year while it was still under guarantee.
Now the bearings have gone and I’ve been quoted £75 all-in for repair. I’m wondering whether it’d be worth repairing given the age of the machine?
If not, I’d be limited to a budget machine as a replacement, and I’d be grateful for suggestions. Any opinions on the following?-

As a final question, how long are new machines normally guaranteed for, or does this vary between manufacturers? Is there any agreement on what the lifespan of a machine should “reasonably” be from a Sale of Goods point of view?

Good price from your repairer. However, at 10 years old, consider the following: The motor brushes will be pretty well worn out, the pump (especially if the magnetic type) will be tired and may well be the reason that your bearings have failed; and the door seal will be pretty tired as well. If you wish to keep the machine going, I’d speak to you engineer about a package deal for the lot – you will effectively have a reconditioned machine and good for a few more years.
In all conscience, I can’t recommend any of the new replacements you have listed. The old adage of “You gets what you pay for” has never been more true. Three years from now, any of your list will be beyond an economic repair. Realistically, you need to set your budget at £250-£300 for a “10 year” replacement with your level of usage. This will move you into Zanussi, Whirlpool and the low end Bosch range territory. If budget really is a serious consideration, check out the Gorenje machines – you may have to hunt about to find them though. Pretty good for the money.

Yep I agree with Penguin – especially the Gorenje – you get two years parts and labour as standard and should be able to pick one up within your budget. If you try the Gorenje website or alternatively try Repairs@ in the sidebar and that may get you someone in your area who can help.
