    Oven selector switch has failed and Electrue are telling me that part of the wiring harness needs to be changed to stop the replacement switch burning out. Can anyone confirm thats the case?

    Definitely replace the complete wiring harness. Original harness and switch had the full load running through the single contact at the rear of the switch. This has been changed to split the load through 2 or 3 contacts. Save yourself the problem of a revisit in 2 months time and replace the lot now. Comes with a clear wiring diagram. 🙂

    also fit a protection plate over selector sw, to stop heat from wok burner recommended by delonghi
