    Hi
I wonder if somebody can help me please. My dishwasher appears to have died, no lights, nothing after tripping the main RCD.

I’ve found the supressor under the bottom front panel has popped, exploded (part DEM 70092) which I assume caused the initial RCD trip. Is this also the cause of the no lights? I’ve checked the fuse in the wall and thats Ok, are there any others ?

Can I get a standard 250V supressor from Maplin to get it working again or does it have to be the correct part?

Since the supressor has gone, is it likely to have also blown something else?

    Thanks in advance.

    Paul

Just found out there was a big bang a couple of weeks ago, so thats probably when the supressor blew up and it has been working since then until yesterday.

Any pointers to a likely reason for it to stop ?

    Thanks

It’s a Smeg made dishwasher, much the same as the one in this thread if it helps:
