Bosch Fridge Freezer KGU32161 GB/01

I couldn’t find exactly the same problem or a solution elsewhere in the forum. Our fridge freezer is under 4 years old, bought new, and is sited in the kitchen, well ventilated and within the ambient temperature range.

First we had the ice sheet problem in the bottom of the freezer as reported in other posts – a 24 hour defrost fixed that (at least for the last fortnight). Now the temperatures in the fridge and freezer compartments do not obey the settings. The fridge is set to 4C and shows between 5C and 12C on the display panel – a mercury fridge thermometer shows it to be @ 6C in the salad boxes and bottom door rising to @ 12C at the top. The freezer is set to -20C but shows between -25 and -33C. In fact these temperature failings showed themselves before we defrosted the unit, but have not been fixed.
