AEG B2190 oven – problem oven or grill will work for a while then the whole oven will switch of – noticed the front panel gets very hot – any ideas what is causing it

on these models there is device that cuts in the cooling fan. When this stops working the safety thermostat cuts all power off, it is sensing the overheating that you mention.
The repair requires stripping down of the oven and replacing a device which has four terminals connected accross selector switches. generally not job for a diyer. I would suggest looking on the site for a local AEG repairer who should be able to sort it for you.hope this helps.
