Hi there- could somebody possibly offer some suggestions for a problem on the above 1370 Turbo. This is a split cabinet machine, but still actually has the old stainless steel tub & cast bearing housing, & is around 7 years old.
The problem is, that when selecting a programme, the machine spends about 15 minutes just continually pumping out. There is no drum action, & no fill, but then after around the 15 minute mark, it suddenly starts filling & commencing with the selected programme. I think eveything is o.k. from thereon, but the customer does complain of programmes taking a long time, & that the washing isn’t getting clean. I’m not sure why a normal programme should have an initial pump out sequence anyway, nor why it should last 15 minutes.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Motorised soapbox top going clunk clunk clunk at the same time? They can spring free and select correctly, eventually.

Now you mention it, I did notice during the pre-select sequence, that the soap drawer mechanism was operating, but I thought this was just the mechanics of the timer responding to the timer position/ programme selected?

It should settle to the correct position within a few seconds. The gears do get jammed up and clunk away for ages. The drain pump is partially switched through the soap box, so defo worth investigating.
