Okay, it’s pretty obvious that we’re going to have to do it now.

So, bollocks to paying for it all ourselves. Too expensive a show to put on just by us for just a couple of days methinks. But with the right venue there’s a lot could be done.

Kev, you mentioned doing something really special, anything in mind in particular?

I think we should get some of the spares guys to run a proper show event, easy done and only takes a room and internet. The hope being that the chance to see the suppliers and get specials tempts more of the troops to attend.

We could also ask the networks to set up a table to sign up people, again a very tempting premise for the troops.

Refrigerant gas handling training, I need to look into that.

    Anything else, other ideas?

    Sorry

But the refrigerant safe handling is out. the cost of insurance to have “gas” present will prohibit its use at an hotel.

If the spares guys wanted to do a raodshow they would.

And signing up new guys to the networks is always going to be a prolonged affair, no way can each sides credentials be checked at our meeting.

Defo think we should concentrate on revealing the NVQ pathway, and entice De Longhi to present why they allow us to make avilable all their tech info to the website.

Something special is we give away a van, a brand new one. Its a free to enter thing but we insist on Friday and Saturday attendance, the draw taking place on saturday morning. We need a sponser for the van, so we think about selling the two sides and the rear to interested parties and we chip in the difference.

Safe handling is a workplace thing, all that would be required at the meeting is a written test from what I can gather to certify.

Spares guys would never do a roadshow, not enough interest in any one of them at one time. I’m only talking about extending what we have already done with Qualtex this year and it’s only to tempt more of the actual troops.

WP’s etc, it’s a chance to do a meet & greet, have a chat etc. We all know it goes on anyway but I was thinking on making it more glaringly obvious to some people why they should be there.

NVQ, personally I don’t know that we’re going to get the interest, but I could of course be dead wrong. The danger there is going OTT with it and it gets dull as right now its high up the agenda and has been for some time.

The van thing is easy to do technically. Who’s going to pay for it because I can see no need for us to do it?

I am also concerned that we stretch ourselves too thin with all that’s going on.
