Hi there i have a samsung srg-348 fridge freezer.
It was running fine until one day it started making a clicking noise every couple of minutes and then finally it defrosted while all the meat was in it rendering the food useless.
I have replaced the starter relay and overload protector as well as the timer relay.
Now when i turn the fridge on the compressor hums and after a minute or so it clicks off. then maybe another couple of minutes clicks back on. But all the time it is doing this the fan inside the fridge and freezer is still blowing air inside and doesnt stop working while the compressor makes noise.
I have tested the resistance of the compressor and recieved as follows:
36 from bottom left to bottom right.
21 from bottom left to top.
16 from bottom right to top.
when reversed all reading are the same.
Any ideas or steps i could possibly take to ensure the fault would be most appreciated.
Or maybe that does mean its buggered lol
    thankyou for your time!!!!!!!!!!!

The compressor is probably seized, the readings you have taken are in proportion so that rules out the windings.

The click you hear is the toc tripping as the current build up in the start windings becomes too great.

New compressor time I would think.
