Hiya, I have posted about the stated dryer in the past on here due to faulty heater which is now fixed!

However another problem has occured… well not really a problem as such, but as the drum turns it squeaks, not particularly loud, but it is slowly getting noisier, it appears to be a soft squeak, one squeak per revolution of the drum.

Do you have any ideas what could be causing or is it just old age setting in (10/11 years old)

    Any Help appreciated

    Many Thanks

It’s probably the belt tension pulley, lubrication or replacement should help 🙂

Beware, these are a pig to get into, power off of course :zap:

    I said they were a pig 😉

The whole cabinet has to come off I’m afraid, we can’t walk you through the repair though, only general guidlines.

As an aside, which company own/manufactures the Parnall?
It’s an old name – like “English Electric”.

Jackson bought Parnell. Creda bought Jackson. Hotpoint bought Creda. Indesit bought Hotpoint. Then the world as we knew it ended.

    😀
One knows the feeling. It’s cheaper to buy a split-new machine these days, than to try to mend the bottom-end cheapies… 🙁
