    Hello,

Im hoping that you can assist me on fixing this Candy 6kg Reverse Action tumble drier (Im not sure about the Machine model, but please have a look at this picture)

After seeing several posts on this forum about the Candy CIC60 packing in, i opened the back of the dryer and found this.

    and also

Im not sure how this has happened, has it just been over time with heat breaking in half?

    Part Number reads:

    IRCA 2177 123Z 240V 1200W

    04820073 MAM05 A401

Switch on the dryer and it fails to heat, and the “Clean filter” light also stays lit.

Would i be right in saying this is the heater element that has broken? How much would this cost to replace, and im looking to repair myself.

Any help is much appreciated, many thanks

    Robert.

It would certainly appear so, you can see it here in our shop 😀

    Hello,

I have a similar problem, no heat and Clean filter light is on, only the heat element seems ok, the problem is probably the thermostat or termal fuse.

    My question is:
Did you manage to unplug the whole thing ?
In my tumble dryer, the plug is inside the machine and I can’t unplug it.
Hopefully you can give me some advice

    cheers
    Ron

Re: Candy Reverse Action Tumble Dryer

The new heater element arrived today, Thanks 🙂

Then started to wonder how i get the old heater unplugged, flipped it up on its side and tried to take the bottom off the drier, was spot welded on, tried the top.. no use, could only see the drum so we tried sliding the whole drier out of the cabinet. Eventually we managed to get the front off, then.. moved all the cables and everything out of the way but, we foolishly removed to bottom motor mounting bolts and spun the drum, so that knocked the belt and motor off line 😥

Realigned the motor, realigned the drum, unplugged old heater and plugged in new, then after 3 hours put it all back together, but there are 8 screws left and we couldnt find holes for them 😆 I wonder what there for, maybe i could send them back to Candy and say i didnt need these spare screws 😛 😕 fired her up and its just like a new one. Now just the final test, see if it dries clothes once again. Im sure it will, the heater was working perfectly when we tried it the first time.

    Thanks for your help

    Robert.

Re: Candy Reverse Action Tumble Dryer

Ok well, first load today went well so i was told. But.. put in a big load tonight which was wet, and after an hour or so it was just heating up and steaming and very little water had collected into the collection tray. Another hour and water was leaking from the drier and has shorted something, so i`ll have to strip it right down and see whats happend. How does the collection tray actually work? Is there a pipe i have maybe knocked off? At least i know the easy way to get into it now.

    Any suggestions?

Have you checked the condensor itself, it may be blocked with fluff ?

    Dave.
