ParticipantHi there.
Got this tumble dryer today, start it and heats up,drum turns, but within the 1st 10 mins it stops.Doesn,t even help if you leave it for 10 or so mins,it won’t start until it is completely cooled.
Checked stats.element and for blockages, all seems fine.
Have any one seen this fault before.Help will be gratefull.
Cheers.

Sounds like a faulty relay, very common, part 1701624.

It looks like this
Very sharp edges, a bit of a fiddly job, will just about prise out from between the cabinet and drum to allow you to swap wires one for one.

For future readers of this thread, don’t overlook that a faulty mains plug and/ or socket will give this symptom.

And lots of others Bob. Had a Zanussi that was doing all sorts of strange things last week. When the customer finally mentioned that the TV flickered at the same time I traced the fault to the wall socket behind the cupboards, that the extension lead the washer, and TV where plugged into was using. -
