    got a wf860 stuck on test
    is this the same as the ones on the sticypage
    tried the 1st way did not work

    From the manual.

    To Deactivate


    Press both Start/Cancel and On/Off buttons together until
    d OFF appears.
    The default screen returns and you can select a new programme.
    Note:- The default screen information displayed on these models is that of the programme currently selected by the selector knob.

    You do seem to get the odd one that decides to clear when it wants to, you just have to keep trying.

    I have a feeling that these machines are going into test mode themselves when subjected to radio interference. A few years ago, the Mistral Fridge Freezers were turning themselves on to fast freeze when a walky-talky or a CB radio was used in the same room.

    I have a customer with a “radio’ clock that is situated three feet from their Hotpoint washer that keeps going into tESt mode. Since they moved the clock into another room it has not happened (to my knowledge) 😕
