Would be grateful for any advice: have had stirling service out of the above machine but just lately the control dial has been sticking and we’ve had to move it on manually in order to get to bed! I took the front panel off to look at the wiring etc and give it a clean and then found that after replacing the panel the door wouldn’t close fully. There appears to be a little plastic button sticking out, with a screw-driver groove in it, on the top left side of the surface that the door hits against, which seems to be preventing it from closing fully. Am not sure the button was protuding before and am slightly wary of turning machine back on until I’m sure it’s OK and leak-proof. Anyone got a similar machine and know what this button does?

It’s the adjuster for the water softener (the slot allows adjusting from 1 to 3 I believe?) It must have just popped out and should easily press back in. Or you may have to take the front part of the side panel to locate it fully? 🙂
