We have had a Fridgeaire RL600-3B fridge for about 2 years but it is no longer getting cold. We have turned the dial up to 7 and have bought a thermometer to check and that says its 15 degrees. We checked our friends fridge and it went down straight away. Milk is going off very quickly. Any ideas what might be going wrong and how we can fix it ? I don’t believe its a ventelation issue.

Is the motor (compressor) running continuously ?

No Dave I don’t believe it is. Just seems to make the normal fridge compressor noise. No more or less than usual.

But does it switch off occasionally as it’s meant to (thermostat controlled) or is the noise constant ? 😉

No the noise is not constant. It does go off as its meant to.

Its just warm inside as if the thermostat is not working !

Good news then as it sounds like the thermostat may be at fault 😀

If you’re planning on repairing yourself (power off :zap:), I can help with the thermostat, and email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂
