need to know which terminals to link to wire 4 terminal hotplate to energy reg . terminals run 1 2 4 3 . Have done this before but lost my book with it in. Regards clayside

A link between 1 and 2 and another between 3 and 4 if you’re connecting a 4 terminal solid plate to just a live and neutral ?

This post just reminded me that I always wondered why solid hotplates were almost always fed from 6 position switches rather that energy regs

But then that’s always the case where (most) manufacturers and the sheds are concerned 🙂

Does anybody have a schematic diagram for the internal circuits in a solid plate ?

Most solid rings consist of 3 elements. A 6 position regulator will switch in differing combinations to give 6 power levels.
e g position 1 = element 1
position 2 = element 1+2
position 3 = element 1+3
position 6 = element 1+2+3
etc
