    hi there

is there anything special i need to know or have to remove and replace drum weight ? There doesnt seem to be adequate access from rear panel panel aside from access panel. Has it been spot welded on ?

It is causing one hell of a banging nose on a fast spin. Am i right in replacing weight ?

As the tub that it is attached to is made of plastic it’s highly unlikely 😉

I would be more inclined to suspect drum bearing failure to be honest unless either of the weights has any obvious cracks or have become detached from the drum ?

Power off when checking please :zap:

there is some play in the weight. Is it supposed to be firmly attatched to drum housing ? The three screws holding it on seem to have come out a bit but refuse to tighten up again……possibly screws have become bent ?

It should make up a rigid assembly, otherwise it will destroy the tub front half. Do you have the tank out of the machine? This will allow you to inspect the weight properly and allows easy removal of damaged bolts. If replacing, ensure that you buy high tensile ones (usually stamped 88 on the head).

If you want the pukka things, they’re p/no 5111668-46/2 @ £3.01 + VAT each! An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you wish them ordering.
