Hi – I wonder if anyone can help me. I have had a Whirlpool American style Fridge/Freezer for about 3 years now, and for some reason, the ice making facility has stopped working. The water is not coming through into the ice making tray. The water dispenser feature works fine, and although I have changed the filter recently, I am reliably informed by Whirlpool that this should not have any effect on the ice making facility. Anybody have any idea what the problem is.
    Kindest Regards – Mike

Lot of things can stop the ice maker working. Faulty main board, faulty icemaker, faulty infrared optics, water feed pipe frozen, faulty inlet valve etc etc. Not one for the faint hearted.
To be honest this is one fault you’ll need an engineer for.
Click on the repairs@ in the column on the left of the page to find an engineer near you.
