    Morning all!

I have done a search for the E5 error code and nothing showed up, so I’m hoping someone may be able to shed some light on it (I don’t have a manual – all I know is its a big, shiny brushed-aluminium Smeg!)

A few weeks ago it stopped near the end of a cycle and showed an E7 message. It did this a couple of times but was never really an issue as there was only a few minutes left of the cylce and everything was already clean.

Last week it stopped about 15 minutes in and gave an E5. I restarted it and it was fine…

Now it manages about 5 minutes before going to E5. The error clears if you open the door, but if restarted it will only run for another 2 or 3 minutes. The drain filter is clean and it isn’t full of water…

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to investigate? I’m happy with paper plates, but the missus isn’t…

    Thanks in advance!

    A

    E5 is a”no fill” error.

Check that the water supply to the dishwasher is OK, kinked fill hose, supply tap faulty/blocked etc 🙂

Apart from that, it could quite a number of things causing it which would require an engineer to diagnose to be honest.

Check the repairs@ link below should the need arise 🙂

Excellent, thanks Dave – I’ll go and investigate.

This may sound like a ridiculous question, but where can I find the model number? I’d like to download a manual from the smeg site, but it’s not the most user-friendly website in the world…

The model number is around the door normally, it’ll be something like DWF???? DWI???
