    i note with interest that ‘chocospanner’was pointed in the right direction to the online shop to purchase a 8 uf capacitor @£8.30 chocospanner then responds with his/her thanks saying part has cost £5.99 is this a trade discount or has he /she gone elsewhere??

    He`ll have gone and bought it from elsewhere after getting the advice he needed from this site. Issues like this have been discussed many times in the past and there are no definite ways of preventing it but for some reason it always annoys me as it obviously has you.
    His closing line of “no call out charge” summed up the type of person he is and grin and bear it seems to be the only way.
