Thanks Chris, I did see loopey’s post last night but it was very late and I thought that I would sleep on it and PM him this morning.
When I saw his original post, I could not make any sense of it, so I first had a look at his other half dozen posts to see if I could get some idea of where he was coming from. I could find no mention of his modus operandi so phrased my question in the way I did. It had the desired effect because his next post was much clearer. In fact both Martin and myself thanked him for his input.
I have spoken to a couple of Hotpoint engineers and none have seen this fault so I am keeping an open mind for now.I did not see the post from WVM but it is not the type of response we need, glad you sorted it.
